Social Events

             Beacon Light Social Events
As well as our 4 Saturday meetings we also hold regular social events for partners and non masons. These are well attended and give the chance to meet with us as Masons and ask any questions they may have about our great institution

Over recent years, our Lodge has endeavoured to organize a series of short tours to places of historic interest within the area of Metropolitan London.
We are very fortunate that both our Director of Ceremonies, W Bro Mark Flisher and W Bro David Hall are both keen historians and are constantly discovering places of historic and cultural interest for us to visit.
Among recent successes, and to name just a couple are;
TOWER BRIDGE

A private, guided tour behind the scenes of this magnificent landmark so truly a perfect example of the magic of London and its indelible link to the River Thames.
Twenty two attended, which included masons and non-masons alike and was preceded by a lunch at nearby St Katharine’s Dock.

WHITECHAPEL BELL FOUNDRY

A stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the City of London, this oasis of tranquility is a step back in time showing how bells were designed, constructed, installed and commissioned right up to current times. It is still family-owned and it was the current owner who led our tour. Eighteen attended and was followed by an Indian meal in nearby Brick Lane.
